E-APPLICATION | CHECK OUT THE ENHANCED INSURABILITY QUESTIONNAIRE!

You spoke, we listened! The enhanced insurability questionnaire for e‑application went rolled out on April 3! Thanks to its simpler and much more user‑friendly form, the questionnaire gives you a whole new navigation experience when you offer insurance to your clients.

Our objectives

This significant update marks a further step in our evolution towards simplicity, both on the operational level and on the relational and human levels.

  • Increase point‑of‑sale decisions
  • Reduce processing times for insurance applications
  • Improve the experience for you and your clients

Overview

Essentially, changes were made to the overall structure of the insurability questionnaire* to completely overhaul the format, sequence and direction of the questions.

Revised elementsImprovements
Overall structure of the questionnaire
  • We revamped the overall questionnaire structure to make it easier to flow from one question to the next.
  • All questions start now with a "Yes/No" question, which leads directly to the associated sub‑questions for each health condition or specific situation related to the profile of the person to be insured (medical history, family history and lifestyle habits).
Information for the person applying for insurance
  • As an introduction, we have added a list of non‑reportable information to facilitate your work.
  • This new approach clarifies certain elements and guide the approach to answering questions.
Medical history
  • We simplified the instructions and rephrased several questions to better reflect reality.
  • Health conditions are now grouped by category and concrete examples have been added to avoid ambiguities and omissions.
  • The order of presentation of issues are based on the groups most at risk or the most significant conditions.
  • Lastly, medical terms are presented in plain language to promote communication with your clients and ensure their understanding.
Family history

Except for the child life insurance questionnaire. That one is keeping its current form for now; it will be updated in phase 2.
